I am trying to figure out where my chicks came from. I think the guy said the hatchery started with S and I know he said it was in Idaho.

The only hatchery in Idaho is Dunlap, unless there is some new one, but thats the only one I can think of. Maybe check feathersites list of hatcheries.

Hmm, there's Schlecht Farm & Hatchery in Iowa, not Idaho. Can't think of one in Idaho right off the top of my head that starts with an S.

I going with flyingmonkey, the only large hatchery in Idaho that I know of is Dunlop's. [IMG] If it turns out there is another hatchery in Idaho, let me know. I would hate to think there was a chick/egg resource close by that I wasn't utilizing! [IMG]

Thanks everyone-maybe I am remembering part of it wrong. I thought he said it was Shetlers or something like that. [IMG]

There used to be a Shanks Hatchery in Oregon, but they are now called Lazy 54 Farm.

Dunlap, Phinney and Lazy 54 are the only ones in the PNW.

Shank's seems like a nice hatchery-I have a friend who gets all her birds there and swears by them. He also sells hatching eggs I think-though I don't know if he ships. I am pretty close to him. I think I'll call Coastal Farm and ask that guy again where the birds come from.

    How about Stromberg's in Minnesota?

You know Stromberg's sounds like it might be what he said-he might have been mixed up about the ID part [IMG]
