Hatchery Insists Pullet

That’s a pretty pink comb for ten weeks and the hackle feathers look rather pointy. My Bantam girl had me concerned for awhile with her hackles too, but they didn’t look quite that sharp. The all over red leakage screams boy to me.

Had to go back a ways on my instagram to find pics of my EE pullet at roughly 10 weeks, if it will help.

Gorgeous!

The B/W pullet is stunning!

The cockerel will only get more obvious over the next 7 weeks but I haven't had to argue with them so I don't know what it will take, exactly. And, I don't think anyone but MPC sexes bantams because it is incredibly difficult. I'm sure they deal with this regularly and probably wait until it's beyond needing a zoom-in to see the signs.

Do they offer a refund on the whoops or a credit toward future chicks or ???

Not sure. They don’t say on their website. It doesn’t really matter. The credit is a drop in the pot compared to shipping and raising ;)
