Lol exactly. I've been told that I can no longer tell him no because he will get what he wants anyway. Hes also said that little needs friends like her, so I know exactly where this is gonna end up lol. That's OK though because I plan to use this to my advantage by making him help me more with the ducklings

I would be pretty upset if this happened to me. What hatchery did you use? I ordered 2 unsexed WH from Cackle hatchery...Hopefully they will all be what they are supposed to be. You have a plan in mind for a certain breed that you want to breed and continue on and then they throw you a runner shaped curve ball. Have you told them about the mix up?

I am still upset but everyone's human and accidents happen however I would think a hatchery would have a system where it wouldn't. I used Estes hatchery because they sex their Ancona ducks and I couldn't find another hatchery that does. I've emailed them as I'm at work but haven't gotten a response back. I'm thinking I'm just gonna call them on my next break. Not sure if they can do anything though because they are almost 5 weeks old. When I hear back from them I'll let you guys know what they said.

I did get 2 extras one a khaki Campbell who sadly didn't make it very long after arrival but it was so tiny I can imagine being stepped on during shipping was a part of that and I got an extra WH who also didn't make it. Both were supposed to be extra females.

If you got 2 extras, maybe the Runner and the KC were extras and the WH that died was part of your order. Extras aren't usually marked for sex or breed and typically, they are males since there are usually more available.

I think she is just beautiful, she looks just like the Runner I lost here. They are hilarious ducks. You are lucky to have her!
