Hatchery Salmon Faverolle...

Last spring I got some Buff Wyandottes from Privett (no pictures, sorry!) and most of them had white skin/legs. Undoubtedly had crossed in some Buff Orpington for better color and hadn't done a good job of culling out the off types. There was still quite a bit of color variation and some had faint white lacing.

Holly and all the girls are just over a year now. No, I don't.

Cool! Sorry I can't help. Good luck on the project! I'd love to see some pictures.....

I got my Faverolles from Meyer Hatcheries.

This is Emmet my 6 month old cockerel. I don't know enough to know if he is anywhere near show quality but I sure think he's nice to look at!

This is Esme, my 6 month old pullet. She is a lap chicken but her coloring is not correct I don't think.

And this is Victoria (yes, my daughter named them all after "Twilight" characters). I love her coloring and am going to use her eggs to test my homemade incubator. She has a most impressive beard too.

I hope to find some eggs from a breeder to hatch out in the spring.

Thanks for the compliment on my hen Ewesheep.

thechickonthehill, your group is very pretty. I have two roosters from Meyer. They are about a year and a half now. They looked just like your roo at that age. Now they are even cuter. All the colors have become more brilliant and they have filled out into round little guys. Everybody wants to pick them up and hold them because they look so darn cuddly. Maybe if I had handled them more when they were little they would LIKE to be picked up.

As it is they have NEVER been at all aggressive with people and get along well with all the other chickens.
