Does anyone know of a hatchery that will give away cockerel chicks getting ready to be euthanized?

Hatcheries that offer "packing peanuts" with small orders usually throw in a ton of male chicks free.

I'm trying to get about 25 for a help the hungry project my family and I are doing. I'll have to call around and see if I can find a hatchery that would donate them. Thanks

Meyer (I think Meyer could be McMurray) have the "Mealmaker" deal where they will throw in an extra, free layer or broiler to your order if you promise to donate the extra eggs, meat or value to a local food bank or charity that has a soup kitchen. While this doesn't suit your needs, it does suggest that they are interested in being involved in something similar, so they may be a good place to start.
