Hatchery with better quality chicks - please help this dad

I have found if you call them directly, you get very different answers for what is and isn't available.
I'm sure if you told them your story, they would certainly find a way to send out just a few birds.

Here's his phone number. He shows and wins in the south with his birds. I don't know if he shows up north as this is my first time up north.

He may also have some adult/young birds he can part with.

There are different breeders on BYC who will ship started or grown birds.

Yes, but not many and not many near the OP. Plus, it might be more expensive than the OP wants to go for. But, it is an option!

Did you try Meyerhatchery.com? They're very good.

With hatcheries, you'll usually get less quality birds then if you order from a breeder, but they are cheaper. If you are showing them, I would recommend a breeder.
