Hi everyone!
I've been looking into starting a hatchery business... From what I understand, hatcheries can ship their chicks/ducklings, in a special box with a blanket and a watery vegetable, like cucumber. What I was wondering was with what shipping company? How? I am in the UK if that helps...:D

Okay thanks

I think there is a USPS here, but I'll have to check...
Considering that USPS stands for "United States Postal Service", and is a part of our federal government, I'm going to seriously doubt you will find any on your side of the pond. Haha.

The normal process for shipping chicks and ducklings over here seems to be putting them straight in the box ASAP after hatching, and overnighting them, with nothing in the box other than some shavings. This supposedly recreates the first 24 hours or so after hatching where a duckling would naturally just be hiding under mom. Most places have a minimum size order to maintain their body temp during shipping, but I have heard of other places that place some sort of heat pad in the box to ship as few as 2 ducklings.
