Hatching 11-13-09..anyone else?

I set my batch on Wednesday so I'll be few days behind. I'm looking forward to Dominques and ff Bramhas. I was a little worried as I had a good temp when I put the eggs in but then it dropped and it took me a few hours to get it back up - it's my first time and I didn't want to up the thermostat too quickly and end up poaching them!

Had 1 quitter, but 8 of 9 are still good, and hatch day is thursday Nov 12th for me. I went ahead removed the turner & put them in the trimmed egg carton. So far humidity is better since I put some folded wet paper towels under the wire floor when I removed the turner. Finally got the temp back where I want it after 24 hrs. I can see the eggs slowly wiggling in the cartons.......and am looking forward to that first pip! Good luck on lockdown this week everyone!

my outcome is looking bleek

I set 24 eggs and have about 8 right now that are good. They go on lock down tomorrow! I have a sponge in there and water but even with that the humidity is only staying at 20-25%... is there anything else i can do?

Sorry if you've already done this, but have you tried plugging the vent holes on top of your bator? One or both to see if the humidity rises?

No i havent tried that...I think im going to do that tomorrow...maybe start with one? If I do that than i really need to keep an eye on temp cause it could get to hot in there...The temp is staying right around 99-101 for the whole hatch. This is only my second time hatching so i need to perfect my skills a bit more...lol
