Hatching 11-13-09..anyone else?

OK, I only have 1 of 8 hatched so far. None of the others have pipped but are still wiggling. Yesterday eve was day 21, so today is day 22, going into day 23..... I may have had the temp a bit lower 100.5 for a still air with egg turner, since the weather was so variable I was afraid to go higher. I sure hope my little 'boy' isn't by himself. I'll get pictures later. Good luck to the rest of you!

Isnt sad I too only have one baby its all by its self. One pipped but didnt come out. The other 3 nota. Its day 22. Maybe when I get back from Nationals they will have emerged.

Just when I'd given up on one of my babies, it catapulted itself out of the egg carton and is now resting on the floor of the incubator. The other two were active almost immediately. This first chick is much smaller and appears to be much weaker. It hadn't absorbed all of its yolk sac and still isn't as fluffed up as the other two, even though it's hours older. I expected it to be dead when I woke up this morning.

I guess they're a lot more resilient than we give them credit for. I still have 13 eggs. Only one has pipped and nothing from the others. It's only day 21 so I don't guess I need to worry just yet.

My question is should I take the two active ones out or just leave them alone for now?

Hang in there Teddiliza and Mstricer, hopefully your little babies won't end up as "only child(s)".

I got up at 3:30am to go to the farmers market. But was nauseous...DH went to the market to handle booth sales by himself. Uuugghhh! I feel terrible about it, and worse am afraid I might have flu or something.

BUT...good news! There were two chicks kicking out of their shells when we got up at 3:30. I slept for awhile and now have 5 babies total - with a bunch of pips and zipping going on.

HAhahaha....OK, I'll try to get a camera out later....maybe when I move them out of the bator. At the moment I'm only good for 15-20 minutes at a time before nauseum takes over again and forces me to lay down.
