Help! 2 questions.
My chicks are hatching a day earlier than I expected. Should I be worried?
Also, I forgot to take out the rail dividers in the incubator (I could just smack myself). One row has the dividers right up on the eggs (less that 1/8" wiggle room), the other tow rows have 1/4-1/2" wiggle room. What should I do? Not worry about it? Take chicks out halfway through hatch and grab the dividers?
If you do suggest opening and taking out, how do I keep in the humidity?

Thanks!!!

Don't worry about the chicks hatching early. It happens sometimes with small eggs or if your incubator temperature was a little too high.

As for the dividers, how long would it take you to remove them? If you can do it quick, do it. Then put a wet sponge in the incubator to bump the humidity quick. What type of incubator are you using?

It's a brinsea eco20.
The eggs are actually turkey eggs, so bigger than chicken. The two that are out appear to be healthy and normal (thankfully!!!) And 2 more have started pipping.
The first two are almost dry, so should I attempt to take out the dividers now or wait until they are dry and put them into the brooder at the same time?

I've got the same incubator. I've noticed they recover humidity quite quickly when you open it to do something, so take the dry babies out quick and pull the dividers out at the same time. I had to bump the humidity quick in mine once and I took a few sheets of toilet paper, soaked them in clean water, squeezed out the excess and put it the incubator. The humidity shot up. You can fit a straw easily through the vent hole too if you need to top up the channels (or wet the loo paper).

Post pics of the babies when they're done hatching?
