Thanks Shelly for the picture - the color is similar to the lakenvelders but the two "twins" look exactly like their parents did when they were little. Mine never had distinct stripes when they were little. It had crossed my mind though that they were colored the same as my Lakenvelders. According to the "chicken calculator" a mille X GL would get you black with gold columbian.

Well, the fourth gosling didn't make it.

It was probably for the best though. Poor little thing was half the size of its siblings.

Yeah Ameracauna chicks are so cute!! Congratulations! Sorry about the last little goose, my last 3 eggs didn't make it either. ! had pipped membrane but not the egg, the other 2 seemed fully formed but never even pipped membrane. Still happy with my 8 new babies. I think 1 of the 6 GLC eggs is developing. # were clear and 2 I just can't tell. I will look again Sunday. I would hate to run the bator for just 1 egg, but guess I will if its the only 1 left. Then I am done hatching for a long, long time.

I have a lone chick that should be hatched by the end of the day. I started out with 3 of my frizzle eggs and its the only one that developed. It pipped yesterday in the evening and I just picked a little of its shell away since it hadn't made any progress. The membrane is really dry so I will probably have to help it out of there eventually. Then tonight or tomorrow in go some EE eggs from our only EE named "Bubby". My husband looked in the incubator and was like "there's a very Bubby farm in there!"

Well she stopped setting on 2 of the eggs I opened them and one was fully developed but had died and the other one was had stopped developing at some point...

she is still is setting one so there is still hope for that one

I hope to have 4 peeps

we shall see...The 3 peeps are all cheeping and eating now...they dont give momma a minutes rest one pops out eats pops back in another one pops out pops back under I got Minny when she was 2 days old and I dont remember her being this small... the youngest one is so much smaller than the other two... will be send more pics later...when she lets me...she is very protective if anyone but me comes into the room she puffs up to twice her size and growls...LOL
