Hatching Buttons and Coturnix Together

Hi everyone!

I've been keeping coturnix for a few months now and hatched a few dozen of them. I'd like to try hatching some buttons WITH some coturnix together in the incubator. I realize that the buttons will hatch sooner, but has anyone had luck hatching them together? Would anyone advise against it?

Hatching them together shouldn't be a problem as long as they were set together so they are close to all hatching on time. I wouldn't brood them together though since buttons think of coturnix quail toes as giant worms and will keep pulling them lol

So with buttons being 15/16 days and coturnix being 18, I should delay setting the buttons for a couple of days? Or should I just set them at the same time and remove the buttons as they hatch during the coturnix lock down?

I would set at the same time and pull the buttons as they dry off.
