Hatching calender

hello i want to make a hatching calender (my printer isnt working) and was wondering how big to make the boxes for the days its a normal sheet of paper

I just use a regular calendar and color code the hatches. I do staggered hatches.

thats a really good idea i figured out the squares and have extra so i am putting do and donts in them they are 1 1/2 by 2in.
