Hatching Day? so they are a little early? Thanks, I sprayed it with water about an hour before I went ones, and I left it because it looked like he was going to get out on his own! On other news, one of thie chicks hatched, I left this morning at 7, and there was nothing! I came home, and there he was walking around screeching! I candles the other it, by the looks of it 4 have died, 3 are trying to pip into the air save, and 1 I saw moving but he didn't look, to be to fused on getting out!! I'm not worried, as the hatch date was meant to be tomorrow!![]()
EEEEK, the only thing is you don't know how old those eggs are right now.. After 2 weeks they loose there fertalty the soon they get in the better chance. The silkie eggs arrived today, in good condition, all intact, i womt be ptting them in the bator till friday tho, as i have another hatch going on!!
I asked the seller, she said the oldest egg was 2 days old! And two 3 in total have hatched, and another to have pipped, and are zipping
OH MAN Wish i could see pics of that..OkI should be putting them intomorrow, if my new hydrometer comes, I ordered it on Monday, said I should be here by Friday! The last one, I got was awful, the humidity never changed, I added boiling water to get it up, and it stayed at 40%, it was £7 what a waste!! And I have a final count of 5 chicks
pretty bad from 21 eggs, out of that 9 were infertile, and 6 died during incubatIon! I done an egg tipsy on 3 of the eggs, they looked as if they had just died befor and during lockdown, they were all absorbing their yolk, and we're all fully formed!![]()
