hatching chicks

i had eggs in an incubator for 19 days. my last batch i was putting in a seperate incubator to hatch. ive been having a hard time with my hunidity and it wont go above 43%. i currently have a broody chicken whos been sitting for 4 days straight. because of the humidity problem do you think it would work if i put the eggs that are due to hatch under the broody hen?

That would make her happy and your best chance of success if it's not too late.

I dry hatch. Humidty runs at 25 to 30% and then as the chicks hatch the humitdy rises naturally to 50/60% I get good hatch rates. 90 to 100% so I wouldnt worry at all about the humidty.

Putting them under the broody might work, it might not. How long has she been sitting?

Has she been a broody before? 4days isnt long enough, but some dont care and will take eggs/chicks at any point. Some are fabulous mothers and some are awful. With a known quantity its much easier to decide!

the humidity it the incubator they were all in before going into the hatching incubator was always around 55-65% humidity

shes been broody for a while now but i kept taking the eggs from her till 4 days ago. then she started sitting constantly...i dont ever really see her out

Well, it depends on how warm and how long she sits on them if ur broody chickens leave ur eggs out without sitting on them for 4 hours then they may die!
