Thanks to everyone for the support & great information. I did finally open the four remaining eggs...that being said I think two may have been shrink wrapped the other two were moist/gooey
I have four healthy chicks
, the fifth was the smallest egg & 1st to hatch. At first I called him little Brute, since he harassed all the others. Over a few days, he seemed more unsteady. The other chicks by weight & activity would run over him. When I found one on top of him & his legs kicking I removed him to his private condo. There are times I think he doing great & others I just don't know
. I will find him on his side, or on this back all stretched out. There are times he has been able to right himself, then there are times when I don't think he able to. I check him often, get him upright if he is down (today more down the upright) & off to the food he goes. He is eating, pooping... formed with the white spot on top & he is bright eyed. He can run across his box, jump up on a small dish that has food in it & other times he just seems off balance & teeters over if the paper towels aren't level. If he preens he will literally fall over backwards. I have made him a tiny man cave in a corner that he goes to & is supported on three sides. He really like it there. Any thoughts? Recommendations?
