Hatching Duck eggs....I messed up...UPDATE.....#1

My Bouncer is moving out to the Brooder today.....Only for a few hours at a time though...;) ....The Pooper Gang did great out in the brooder all night.....Happy little Ducks this morning.....I checked on them a million times I think?..;)

Aww will he have company from Lily to help make the transition easier?

I am sure the Pooper gang did great they all have each other.  I remember when Opie went out side in his new bedroom for the first time I about cried.  We went and got him some girls a few days later. lol

For today I will introduce Bouncer to the Brooder alone with his mirror.....He might only be out an hour or so?......I will start working on getting Lily and him used to each other privately first......Penelope might work too? She can be a bit bossy though...;)....Lily is sweet to everyone......I already feel sad and he is still here in the house.....This has to be done for his well being....Time for Bouncer to begin his real life as a Duck.....I'm excited for him to learn Duck things from other Ducks.....

:)

I forgot to mention.....It was suggested to me to take out my three Ducklings and put them with Bouncer to force the introduction on him and sit back and watch how they interact?.....I know they will chase him and he will cry.......;)

It might work though?

You may be surprised, they might spend time trying to get to the rest of the pooper gang. If they do chase him, he will learn that they are not hurting him and give up. Might be easier not to watch. Just let them work it out. Tough love

Is your welsh drake really a silver appleyard?! That's what I heard. But at the beginning of this thread you called him a welsh drake. I am confused!

Yes, my Welsh Drake is a Appleyard......Raven pointed it out being I have Appleyard Ducklings......I finally chatted with the Lady my Drake is from and yes , He is pure Appleyard so is the one Hen I have....

I was as confused as anyone!...;)
