Hatching Duck eggs

well today will be day 4 so i candled them! I CAN DEFINITLY SEE VEINS IN AT LEAST 4! so at least i know im doing something right! W0000000000T

As of right now its going pretty fast...but i can only imagine what its going to be like the last week!

well today will be day 13 in my eggs incubation. My flashlight isnt bright enough anymore so when i tried candling them all i see if have of the egg black the other clear. Is that a good or bad thing??

You should see black and the big round end should be light coloured where the air sack it. If you put your light at the sir sack and rook round the rim where it meets the dark bit, you might see it moving there right on the border.

Alright im going to try that tonight when it gets dark.

These eggs seem as if they are never gonna hatch!

Wow am I glad I looked in this thread!!

DW asked me last night if we could try hatching some Duck eggs. Oh noes! The hatching addiction is spreading to other Fowl!

Well i tried candling them through the air sac in the tip of the eggs..couldnt really see much of anything. Im going to try using a brighter light next time. They will be halfway through their incubation on Sunday!

Candle them on the fat round end, thats where the air sack is, you will be able to see them moving.

mine will be 17 days on sunday and i candled them last night. i can still see everything inside egg. they dance when you shine the light on them. i have white eggs though. what color are your eggs?
