Hi everyone, I am currently hatching ducklings with 18 days to go. I was wondering whether there was any advice anyone could give me and maybe post a few photos of you candeling your eggs. Thanks this would be really nice as I am stressing out about it.
Thank you all!

I didn't candle my duck eggs....yeah I'm a slacker. I did have my eggs hatch in "stages" with 1 hatching at day 25 and all of them hatching by day 29.

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know when the last day they can hatch is before you know they are dead?

I usually wait about 3 days past hatch day and see if any have hatched. Luckily with my ducks eggs I have a 100% hatch rate. (I don't have as good of luck with chicken eggs) Good luck with your hatch!

What type of duck eggs are they? Candling duck eggs is my favorite because (most of them) are super easy to see into!

My duck eggs have all been hatching late this year. My temps have been good and I have 3 different incubators and all of them have been late. Give them time! ;)

I haven't got an incubator i have a broody chicken sitting on my eggs and she seems to be doing a good job. I know they are alive because they are moving LOTS! But at day 11 they look massive and very developed although they don't look like it on they camera. You can see their wings and beak I think as I saw it's wing going up to the beak ( probs not it looked like it though.) By the way they are runner ducks.
Thanks for giving such useful info! :thumbsup:goodpost:
