HEy Lisa, maybe they are developing a little before you set them? Just because of the hot temps.
That's possible.
But I would say not.
Last weeks eggs mostly were hatched by Day 19 ( those were eggs all from my birds and collected almost as soon as they were layed. This weeks hatch is NONE of my eggs, just shipped Cochin eggs from Cindy (Asher) and Ameraucana eggs I picked up from Geareduplyn (Gary). That brown striped chick makes me wonder. It is certainly not blue, Gary. It hatched from an egg you marked 'AM'.

you might have a sick broody and her temps might be running a little higher or she just might have a body temp that runs a little higher. just something that was suggested, good luck and keep your feet dry that storms bringing a little rain your way from what I see on the news.

Nope, CountryBoy, that doesn't fly either.
The eggs were spread out under 6 different broody hens and the 4 chicks each hatched this morning under a different hen.
the brown striped chick does not have green legs...I thought all Americauanas have green to slate colored legs..you have a mystery on your hands..let us know when you find out what it is.
