Good Morning all my BYC friends..so on Tuesday one of my Tweedles(silkies) laid an egg..I collected it and put it in the fridge..Thursday to my surprise I found another Tweedle egg..I left it in the coop..marked it and the one I took from the fridge from Tuesday..The Tweedles are seperate from the Australorps as the bigger birds pick on them...but I did see the rooster mate with ??one ?? of the Tweedles..Can anyone advise..do I have a chance that one of the eggs will hatch and I will have a new generation..or am I just wasting eggs and time?? thanks for any input 😀

I hatched a chick out of an egg that was refrigerated and I have developing eggs in my incubator presently that were refrigerated. It's more important that they were stored pointy side down and not washed. Fertility drops as the eggs age.

Ruby Rouge..here are a couple..Tweedles Ive been talking about..and a few of the Australorps . Thanks for the advise. Today again to my surprise the Tweedles laid 2!! more eggs..Im not touching them. There is now a total of 4 eggs..1 was in the fridge and the others havent been moved by me at all..the Tweedles didnt lay any eggs in the month Ive owned them so this is exciting 😀
