Hatching Egg leaking out clear liquid...

I hope I'm wrong because the cleanup is only for those people with strong stomachs but my ONE rotten egg looked completely developed except for the droplets forming on the surface. Turns out it had died @10 days and the opacity was a rotting chick.

Best luck!
Oh, if it doesn't pip, pick it up GENTLY with a plastic bag as if it was an unexploded mine full of stink and wrap it up thoroughly. If it bursts, you'll regret it for a week.
Interesting. Mine all either rot or dis if they don't hatch. Never had one that was both. I've never had to worry about a rotten smell coming from aby I open after hatching is finished
Thanks guys! It probably won't make it but I'll wait and see! It's day 22 and how long should I wait? I have one egg that will probably hatch today and a few late ones due to the trauma when we first started.

What was your humidity during the incubation? Are you monitoring the air cell? Maybe the eggs are not losing enough moisture.
They are being brooded by my two hens. It seems perfect temp in their hutch and I'm expecting it may be a delayed hatch?

It's day 25 and my mind is itchy with curiosity- has there been anything to relate?
Thank goodness! I did the egg float test and the 4 other eggs were low floaters and this egg was a high one. I decided to crack it open... it was a slightly rotten UNfertilized egg! The yolk became creamy and formed into a ball making it look like a fully developed chick. Now I know what happens to unfertilized eggs that have been brooded on full-term!
