Hatching egg looks the same after 17 hours!?

If the other chicks haven't hatched yet, I wouldn't worry at all. How many days have they been in the incubator? I always give my chicks 24 days in the incubator: 18 being turned, 3 in lockdown, and 3 for hatching

Btw they weren’t in incubation for 14 days, they were with there mother the first 7 or so and I had them the rest of the time

The change in incubation may effect their hatching. If it's the 21st day I wouldn't worry at all.

Have you read the Guide to Assisted Hatching? I think your circumstances are a bit different as you have been incubating in a makeshift container with no way to monitor or maintain humidity.

I would be on edge right now as well. Just keep watching them and try your best to keep the humidity as high as possible. Do you have a cover for your container? The guide to assisted hatching will give you lots of information you may need.

Just out of curiosity, what breed are you hatching? None of my hens have ever gone broody this early in the year.
