Now that I'm dealing with a broody, is there a % of male/female in hatching eggs? I'm assuming you tend to get more males than females, but I've never done this before.

People say if you have 100 eggs, you will get 50 males/50 females. Somebody else must be getting my females, because all I can hatch is males.

Then someone sure is loaded up with females, 'cause all I'm hatching here are males too!

Darnit................I want a boy (meaning 1), but I want girls too. So I guess I'm either going to let my DH freezer camp them, or I'll have to get chicks to put under her instead of eggs.

I hatched 20 golden pheasants this year...17 are males. I wonder if they're like alligators and it has something to do with temperature?

Maybe that'll be next year's experiment
