Okay so i went to go check in on my hatching eggs. One hit a vein while doing the zip, but I think it will be fine... But it is the other one I am like

about.
Like the main top of the egg is missing(part with the air bubble, just like popped off.). Or well I found it on the incubator floor, but like how did it get off?
The chick is still in its other membrane, so I am wondering what the heck happened here.
Like the membrane has only one hole in it, which is where the chick made the pip hole... There are still a few veins on the membrane that have blood in them... but my main question is... What the heck do I do?
Has anyone else ever had this happen?
Should I help the chick or what?
And lastly... Anyone know how the heck that could have happened?

Chick came out of the egg, and I need to know if it looks okay, because I am unsure.

I have only hatched eggs once so I am not an expert. I know that I had to help a chick out of the egg and we had the problem with the vein. it was scary but I did it very slowly and carefully and every time there was a bleed I applied slight pressure and it went away. I would think if it is still pipping, still moving around, and still making an effort to let it keep going on it's own. I have no idea how that could have happened besides it falling maybe but if you have it in a flat incubator that idea goes out the window. Do you think the egg could have had a hairline crack in it before?

Best of luck and let us know what happens.

hi
im not sure what happened but by the looks of the chick in the second pic, it looks like it didnt finish obsorbing its yolk. when they hatch they should be maybe wrapped up in a little membrane if anythings going to be attached but this chick looks like it has some things hanging out that its not suppose to

Hi, how many days did you incubate and what temp did you use ? Looks like a styrofoam job and perhaps it was slightly cool. The chick on the second pic looks a day early.

this is day 25 now i think, all of my chicks have been late.
And the temps were from 99 to 101.
Still airincubator.
Went gimpy on day 19, so now I have to have a heat lamp pointing at it to keep it the right temps.
I am glad to say though I purchased a new incubator, which isn't still air, and isn't made of foam.
Never using this foam one again.

I think so, it is still chirping, and breathing and such, has only moved a little bit.

I hope it does, I've never hatched chicks always let my girls do that, so just hoping your little one makes it.

Try to put pressure on anything bleeding. Make sure you do not fully pull off the cord that will cause more bleeding it will fall off on it's own. Keep it warm and give it some quiet time he will perk up.

We just had to stop some bleeding again. It stopped for like 30 minutes then started again. it should be under control now though.
And the incubator just lost heat.... Darnt hat thing sure knows when to stop working....
But I am getting the temps back up now.
And praying that it gets better.
