I've been saving eggs for the next batch of hatchlings, but the ambient temperature here has been 110F to 117F and by the time I collect eggs from the coop some have measured (with my frared thermometer) at 117f to 119F. Think they might be viable? Any experience with this?
Thank you

It looks like they've only been in the incubator a few minutes. :) I'd like the answer to her question too, since I'm thinking of doing another hatch and it's hot outside.
This was an article that I converted to a thread. The article creation date was around the end of June.

How are your eggs doing?
out of 18 eggs, 6 were not developing, the hottest one to develop had been 110 degrees, not much above the average chicken temp of 105 to 107. It was 119 in the shade in our backyard yesterday at 3PM and all my birds are enjoying the misting system I put in for them.

So you got some developing? That's great!
lock down Thurs and hope to see those chicks next Sat. Here are pix of daddy and his daughter from last hatch. Cemani dad and americauna mom. I like the cheek puffs.

I've hatched muscovy ducklings in Vegas summer. Although the ducks get off the eggs usually another duck jumps on thinking it's their turn. Silly ducks. When I would pick up the eggs to candle, they seemed super hot but I had a good hatch. Birds are pretty amazing when it comes to incubating their children 🐣

If anyone was following, sorry for the delay. Final tally on day 23 out of 18 eggs, 9 failed to develop, 2 fully developed but didn't absorb their yolks and died in the shell, and 7 healthy chicks are doing fine.
