Sure! Do you have a hatching egg source already picked out?ThankyouI’m realizing just now difficult it is! Probably wasn’t the best breed to start my hatching journey with. Appreciate you and all the help! Going to give it another go if you want to hang around for it
Not necessarily. I wanted to order them from who I got the last ones from… they were chocolate/silver. So I’m waiting to hear back if they have anymoreSure! Do you have a hatching egg source already picked out?
Thankyou so much. Part of me regrets not opening the membrane but I truly don’t think it would have made a difference. I had to break apart the entire shell & membrane just to figure out where the head was. Which very well could have harmed it if it still was getting blood from the veins. The yolk sac was also about the size of a nickel. Is that normal? I’ve never seen one until nowSo sorry about the baby.. I’m happy you’re willing to try again, I’ll gladly stick around for it. May your next hatch be better![]()
The temp is in the upper 90s. I will give her a time out when I get home and see if that changes anythingI’ve never seen that in ducklings that young. I wonder if giving it some time out would break it? Maybe someone else has had this and can help.whats the temp in the brooder?
Uh oh, I still had the 99° from the incubator stuck in my headUpper 90’s drop that temp down way to hot and can be the problem 85-90 at the highest I never have had ducklings at 90 even .
