So today was the day my bielefelder trio was to arrive, well mine and CJWaldons. 2 weeks ago we got the pair and the pullet had died on the was they replaced them with a trio




and then unbenonst to me she bought another pair




a pair of pullets!!!!!!

They also sent Rhodebars

I think they sent white legbar hens and roos??

You could cram any of those extra chicks back into the box, slap on a new label and send them to me.....

Just sayin.............................

Ugh. I'm not seeing any development in the eggs yet. On day three, so it's possible that they're just a little slow since it's just listed at 99F, but I'm still starting to worry a little. I'll have to let them go a few more days and keep my fingers crossed.

3 days is too early....................I figure it's a good strong egg when I see veining on day 4. I don't call it one way or the other until day 7.

Definitely not tossing them. I don't like to toss until day ten. It's just that I usually can see something in some eggs by now.

Well, I've been lurking & figuring out who to stalk when I can finally swap, & seeing all my wish list eggs swap swap swapin'
is making really want to get swapping, but better I wait awhile, w/ the current ice storm & power flickers I'm glad I have some free eggs in the bator atm, I'm worried enough about them, I'm be a wreck if they were shipped eggs.

I want to do huckleberries this year too. I never seem to get out there in time to harvest them! Nothing like wild mountain huckleberries! I only have a half pint left of that, so I'm desperate for them this year.

We didn't any last yr. due to the weather : ( & only a tiny blackberry harvest. I'm hoping it is better this year as I'm nearly out of my homemade jams also. So what is the backward swap ya'll keep talking about?
