Limp....like the leg is not working at all or not working properly? Not turned out or in any way? If you stand it in your hand (or on your finger) and push against it, does it give completely or is there resistance? Do the toes grip?
Almost seems like an issue with Rhodebars. I put a male down with the same issue and now I have a female with the issue too.My eggs hatched!both the Rhodebar eggs Papabrooder sent in a Hen's choice hatched. and it's a pair!!!!
I'm concerned about the female though. She doesn't seem to be able to control one of her legs, she wobbles around okay, but something sure isn't right.
The toes don't seem to grip, She hatched this morning. It's not turned in or out. She looks completely normal. When she walks, she "swims" using her good leg and her wings, with other leg tucked under her. She doesn't stand up like the other chicks, she is more huddled or crouched. She looks so tired. The limp leg is is closet to my fingers in this picture.
Oh what a bummer! Okay, thanks for warning me. She's so pretty though. I didn't expect the chicks to be so pretty.
