what does "overdid it" mean

Means I have a bunch of coops to build in spring is what it means

The barn's actually big enough to house 'em all (so far...) but not in their own pens. And not all pens would have outside runs, so obviously that's not acceptable! :) Instead I'm gonna have a bunch of little coops scattered here and there. I like that idea!

that"s what I have and I like mine. Plus I have a couple of buildings too

I like the idea of smaller, movable coops for a lot of reasons (lawn-trimming, fertilizer, fresh grass for them to chow down on). Plus honestly I like the idea of having some separation between my birds if (God forbid) any disease-type nasties ever struck. Plus the morning walk-around will do me good!

I envy you the ability to raise birds for a living. I say that knowing darn well how much work it must be as a full-time endeavor. Actually, come to think of it, it's a ridiculous amount of time and effort for a part-time hobby, lol! But I think it's wonderful that you have the skills, experience, and opportunity to do it full-time :) I wish I could!
aaww thanks, yep lots of work and effort for sure. I was just outside with a flashlight and the flood lights on scooping up a soft shelled goose egg found in the stones near a pool tonight. Had to see if it had a bullseye before feeding it to the Pyr Puppy. lol Guessing its from our juvenile Buff Dewlap girl. Will know this weekend for sure though.

I am happy hubby is fully on board too, and sits and selects breeds and or colors to add. Nice to have an enabler in the house.

(thus the 20 Bresse chicks and 2 new adult sebastopols arriving next week lol)

Enablers are WONDERFUL! Maybe someday I'll see about getting me one of those. It's kinda cool, actually -- if I ever decide to date again then new make-or-break bar will be "But do my chickens like him?"
