here...awake...with the acrid burning taste of skunk in the back of my throat.
trying to wash it away with coffee but it isn't helping.
the guilty dogs are in the backyard, but since the deed happenned right outside the front door there is no excaping it except to come to work...so yeah, I have tucked my tail and run away with my fingers in my ears singing: "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA...." until tonight when I am going to have to deal with it.
ah the joys of living in the woods.
Dawn dishwashing liquid, peroxide and baking soda mixed together really works.Oh no! I swear my dogs refuse to learn and get a good skunk hit yearly. I also have not found a trick to totally get rid of the smell so the poor things end up neglected for a few weeks cause no one wants to pet them. Course the might be because I have 95lb dogs that are hard to bathe
Quote: x2 ..... I cant imagine having a skunk spray with the cold and snow and what not up north right now. Triple ick!

You roo's are soo sweet. I keep trying to get a picture of them, they snuggle down in their bowl at night to sleep they are funny. I am getting rid of my silkies this weekend so that will free up a pen for the basque so the boys might get out of quarantine the week after that.
They are good. DH will be living at the farm in the Spring with FIL while they put the crop out, so I will be unsupervised all Spring. Lol

That sounds like a lot of fun! I love to watch herding dogs!Ok I will be in Oxford, NC the 22 and 23 of March. We are having a border collie family reunion. We have invited the owners of all my dogs pups to bring them for a fun day of herding at a farm in Oxford. One day will be busy, but the other I will have more free time, if you are interested you are welcome to come watch some dog herding!
Quote: Our Golden is 9 years old and the only time she has ever killed one is when she was in her kennel and a suicidal turkey hen flew over the fence and landed inside. Since then we just leave her out all the time and she is just fine with any of them-chickens, ducks, geese, and cats.
Ummmm....never?I have a pip!!!! I have a pip!!!! when does that stop being exciting???!!!???
