Just a reminder, those of us that routinely use the mobile version of the BYC, we can't see signatures. There is an option at the bottom of the page to view the desktop version of BYC, even on a mobile device. I tend to use the mobile version on my computer when things are really hoppin' because it refreshes quicker, but the downside is that I don't get to see the signatures.

Personally, - and this is JUST what I do - I don't claim an offer unless the offer(s) are specifically listed in the post, including the number of eggs. To me, it's not worth the hassle of switching to the desktop version, and then looking at the breeds being offered. Is it possible that I'll miss out on eggs? maybe. But again, I like to have everything super clear so no mistakes can be made and both parties know exactly what they are getting.


Again, sorry if it's out of line. Please don't throw tomatoes at me.

I'm posting this on the chat thread, as to not take up space on the swap thread.

On another note - I called and left a message at Ideal yesterday regarding my two losses, and got a call bright and early this morning telling me they've credited my account. Then I went to check on them. One of the little red leghorns isn't going to make it.

Won't drink and is just very sleepy. It's the same little one that yesterday couldn't figure out how to get back under the eco-brooder. She just sat and cheeped until I would go and put her back under the brooder with the others. Maybe something wasn't right with her - she certainly wasn't the smartest chick in the box.

Now I'm down to 5 asst leghorn pullets. Hopefully they'll all make it. The bullies (BR boys) all did just fine with the bigger chicks.

I agree with this. Your offer needs to be clear and concise in your post. You should either put the post number you are claiming or quote it. What you are offering should be the number of eggs and exactly what. Don't assume. Some use their phones to stalk and it's time consuming trying to find out what you are offering. If you can not follow this then we will roll back the offer. People shouldn't have to search for your offer. I'm starting to sound like a broken record here. Off my soap box now. In other news, my incubator is officially off until May!!!
