I don't think my turkey eggs are going to hatch. Today is day 8, I candled and see nothing the call duck eggs and buff duck eggs in the same incubator that I set on the same day are all developing.

Turkey eggs are weird. They seem to like to wait. If you see nothing now, at day 8, let 'em go until day 15.

My friend that has turkeys and gave me these inkies has 2 dozen mixed turkey eggs for me to hatch....don't know what I am going to do.

I think the question should be ......who doesn't want turkey eggs. And personally who wouldn't want turkey eggs. Turkeys are the best. I take all unloved and unwanted turkey eggs. When they grow up they know I will always hug them no matter how naughty they have been.

Hmmmm.... turkeys are pretty good flyers. My Red Bourbon tom doesn't seem interested in flying much, but I am sure he could. He is too busy "impressing" the neighbor. Could clip their flight feathers.

The Bourbon Sisters FLY , & was I ever shocked the first, (& every time there after) when they come out of nowhere from behind me zooming over my head land in front of me & pretty much look me in the eye. But they are sweet, and the best most unexpected thing is the lovely soft trilling sound they make. I just love that sound.

I do. It was the easiest way for me to keep track. I just sticker them in groups I put them in, and sticker the calendar and I know exactly what should be going on with them.
