Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

I was just wondering, we have this wonderful person named Walli, that does this spreadsheet for us. That is more accurate than my swap page will ever be. If I need to update my swap page, I will have to quit offering swaps right now, in an effort to have the time to update my page. That's ok with me, I just won't share eggs from my new lovely babies. Just sayin', Walli spends alot of time doing that for our benefit. Her time is valuable, and I think we should utilize that spreadsheet. Just my 2 cents....

I kind of agree. I write down all my swaps like this:

So I can keep track, seems kind of pointless to also post it, but, I guess I can post the picture like that on the swap page I can't creat

Overall, I have no problem with keeping things organized and keeping people updated... And I have no problem with rules of the swap so things go smoothly. The new rollback rule? Awesome. The clarification on egg requirements? Cool. Spring requirements and posted pictures to protect swapper? Necessary and great. Having to have a swap page? Not so great for me.
I am just giving my feedback. I don't want to rub anyone the wrong way... I also think having to check on people's swap pages and stuff makes it harder on the mods.

Okay so when I sell my cow, I'm using some of the money for a Dickey... just can't decide between the 2x2 turner/hatcher trays or the normal 3X1... advice?

I am saving up for the 3x1... Might go sportsman, but I have a while to decide. I am going to use my current Bator as a hatcher so it will be easier to clean, and the keep humidity right.

I think the swap page might help. It helps someone who is disorganized, like myself, keep track of who I still need to send stuff to, PROVIDED that I update it as I ship and everything. I've been so screwed up from this moving stuff that even with a page, I'm still a smidge confused, LOL. But, one thing I think is nice about it, is you can look at a glance and see what that person still owes and from when... So you have a better idea of how long you'll be waiting for your eggs (even eggs offered immediately aren't always sent immediately, the hens go off lay, like my turkeys, etc). It's also nice to know that your shipper hasn't forgotten about you.

I'm excited. I had to share. I just found a local feed mill. It is going to cost me $123 for 500 lbs of 18% protein feed. It will be good for all ages, and it is made with animal protein. Yay!!! That will save me about 1/3 on what I am currently paying for all flock feed before taxes. Combined with fermented feed/fodder and free ranging I figure my older birds will cost me 1/4 of what I was paying through the winter for feed. I can combine the 18% crumbles with whole grain in the fermented feed to lower the cost even more.
