Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Ok, so 4 out of my 5 ducks decided to arrive after incubating chaos. I can't believe it. Three of the ducks hatched normaly. The one duck was just barely pipped internally. After 36 hours after his sibs hatched, I did the hot bathroom trick and removed his "hatch", I put him back in the bator to finish the job. Yesterday, no progress. That little bugger stayed in that egg without a top all curled up in a ball, just peeping. I figured he would die if he wasn't strong enough to try to wiggle out, but I left him in there to see what would happen. Got up this morning, he is still sitting there all curved up peeping away like he had some kind of invisible egg trapping him. I had put him in the old incubator (the one that the heat had gone out in, but began to mysteriously work for the last two days). Of course, the incubator had gone out again and now he was freezing.....just sitting there in is invisible egg. I figured I didn't have much to lose, so I helped him the rest of the way out. Now he's peeping and struggling and trying to walk around and get out of his penalty box to be with the others. What the heck? Is this a duck thing? I have never seen anything like this with chickens or turkeys.

Woke up this morning to no power :( drunk driver took out a pole @130 this morning. Why does this happen when babies are mid hatch and we're asleep?!?! Not at 6am when I can throw the genny on? :barnie y'all keep your :fl please!

There were four paints out and three new Hamps and a lav but none of the silver or project cream spitz. Of course they're the ones that I'm probably the most worried about :/

Other than that its a gorgeous morning! We find out today if the people who looked at the house yesterday afternoon want to make an offer on our house. Hope y'all have a great day!!!

Everyone,

I need to ask that for right now until further notice that no one ship any more eggs to me. My son has been diagnosed with Cushing's disease which is caused by a tumor on the pituitary. We are waiting to get in for an MRI to see how bad it is. It should have been caught 8 years ago when I first starting taking him to the doctor for his weight, but all they saw was a "fat" kid and said he needed to go on a diet and get more exercise. They didn't listen when I said he didn't eat junk food, drink sodas or even consume that many calories. I knew differently because this was a kid that had always been tall and light. He was always 98 percentile on height and about 25 percentile on his weight through his early years. Unfortunately we moved away from his pediatrician who would have noticed the difference. He is now 21 only 5' 4", and finally diagnosed after gaining 150 lbs in about a year and a half.

I will send all my swaps but until I know what is going to happen and how long the recovery is going to be I don't want to have to deal with brooder chicks after the ones I have coming in right now.
