I have a little giant incubator and 2 cabinets 1 is a GQF the other older type with the turn rods with the redwood on the outside. I do not think that it is your incubator making the hatch late. We hatched all through the winter and the last 3 hatches were late. Three hatches ago we were three days late. I had given up and about to end the hatch when the white leghorns started hatching. I do not know why this is happening I want to think that it is shipped eggs in the colder weather. I do not have the answer but you are not alone if that helps at all.

If anyone ever has any extra (bantam or large) Chocolate Orpington cockerels that they need to sell, please let me know! I am looking for 2-3 for a project that I would like to start. Thanks

What kind of bator do you guys use. I used to have that problem in my styrofoam bators. I don't have that problem now that I have a dickey.

I'm using a Sportsman for incubating and 2 coolerbators (Igloo) for hatching. All my thermometers and hygrometers are calibrated before each lockdown. I don't think it's the bators, my own eggs are hatching out right on time.

yes, Hollowoaks has graciously agreed to take in a few orders for eggs so that I can get some from people who cant normally ship into VA so I am thrilled!!!
so I need to pm a couple of people and see if they can ship some eggs to her in time. If she gets them by April 6th that should have them hatching by the time she is coming up for the Sheep & Wool festival!

My husband is going to KILL me!!!
I can't tell you how bad I want to go to Maryland Sheep and Wool someday.... If I could get my entire fiber shop across country at a reasonable price......

Me neither! They are EXACTLY what I'm looking for! I had an ad up for quite awhile looking for round, bowling ball chickens. I had NO luck. Then, a few days later, you posted pictures of your Chocolate Orps and they were exactly what I was looking for! Now, I just need to breed their body type into a large fowl Orp.
