Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

I have a BIG announcement to make!
After this coming week, I have to put a halt to receiving eggs. Until I get back in May. Are y'all sitting down? That means in April, I will be TURNING OFF my incubator. :th
The only way I can go on my trip is to have everything hatched and at least a few weeks old. Gotta help hubby out a little bit.

I hope this doesn't pose a problem for anyone.  I will still be sending out eggs, just can't receive em!

Just let me know when you get back as to when I can ship your Bantam orp eggs.
We are hoping she can pick those up on our trip! We'll get up there May 3rd...got time for us that evening? Hmmmm...but she won't get home until the 7th or 8th. May need to weigh travel time with people who are easy with eggs versus travel time with the good ole USPS!

Thanks for the info! That is helpful. I think I like a way that I can visually see which are which from a distance instead of having to pick them up and look at toes, but that might change for me in the future.

My eggs are popping! Four out (although one is dragging baggage), and four more pipped. That's already 50%! Fingers crossed for more! (I'm greedy that way!)

Congrats!!!
I use both. The tags can come off and that is where I have a problem sometimes. Just can't tell them apart. The toe punching or notching lets me KNOW what they are. Wish I had been using it ALL ALONG.

Candled today.... 17 GNH eggs from Not A Farm made it... some are iffy but still

going to be a big hatch. I already had Wheatens pipping when I put them in the hatcher.... it is late in day 19.

My GSBR eggs were looking good too. Was not really expecting that after the rough ride they had getting here.

I had 2 of my Choc Wyandotte eggs to hatch. 1 was black with a silver cast and the other is very silver with a black strip down it's head and neck... might be chipmunk striped.... was still kinda wet. The choc pullet jumped the fence and was in with my Black Laced Red Wyandotte roo.... and then she started to lay. I tossed them in.... but didn't get what I expected. Any genetic people have a clue what happened or what I have?

Must make a new brooder box tomorrow..... I bet I have 150 chicks in the incubator room and more hatching. Thank goodness it is getting warmer here. Only in the 30's at night and they are at least 2-3 weeks old and will still have plenty of heat. Most of his batch is sold so that will help too.
