Hope everyone is doing good.

I have been super busy here. I had to take my daughter to the hospital last night. My billy goat broke his chain and got loose and went after my daughter. When she went to stop him his horns got her pinky and we thought it was broke but it is just sprained pretty good.

Stupid goat. I have had it with him.

I called my bank today and they are handling my claim it isn't a full refund but, I don't care I am fine with half back. At least it is some justice. I love my bank they are great at taking care of there clients.

On a good note I filed a claim with my post office today for both the express shipments to profti and they handed me my postage back right then and there. So profti you will have a box of chicks heading your way tomorrow.

I moved some Wellie eggs to lockdown, and spent some time candling everything in the cabinet. I've got 42 turkey eggs in there, and all the ones old enough to tell are fertile and growing. Those boys were doing their job, although we never saw them! Looks like we might be a bit overcrowded before too long!

The eggs that went to lockdown I split between putting them on their sides or in cartons. I've been getting eggs that matured, but never even pipped internally. I thought it was shipping, but it just happened with an expensive batch of eggs that I picked up. They got a three hour cushioned ride. And I got 4/15 to hatch. There were four clears, and the rest were all fully developed chicks, but they never pipped. So I'm thinking it's not the shipping, but maybe something that needs to be changed in what I'm doing somewhere. I actually had better hatch rates in my old LGs than in the cabinet and Hovabator lately!

I'll get it sorted out. I need to find a hygrometer somewhere, and work on humidity. Step 1.

Hope you're having a good evening!

Speaking of AC... I still don't have any. Since Friday before last. Did I mention it got over 90* here today? So like 110* in my house when I got home, even with every fan on and all windows open. Too da**** hot to do anything. I need a different insurance company. My hatches are sucking because of this. My 2nd batch of lemon blue cochins and the buff barred cochins go into lockdown tonight. Pfft... I am not being too hopeful.

That sucks.... more turkey hugs??? Probably too hot for that.... It's going to snow here tomorrow. Boy, am I thrilled. My birds too. NOT. But, my hatches are doing great, you can just send those poor little hotties this way. I will take very good care of them. They certainly won't get too hot!

That has been happening to me as well! I will be curious to see if hatching in egg cartons helps your hatch rates. Very frustrating when the chicks fully develop and then never even internally pip

Send me some snow please. Another day of this and I will be off searching for a portable AC unit. I'll just sleep in the same room with the incubators.

This is a really cute game. It's called HATCHINGS. It can be addictive though. I just sat here for over 30 minutes playing.
Someone posted that on Facebook and I have been playing it like a crazed fool since.

Oh and COF.....
Shelby just came in here a minute ago and said..."Mom, guess what? Shellie did not call today"
