Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Madam, that tree is gorgeous!!

WV, wish I could take those silkie eggs, but I don't have a great place for them in the winter and it gets COLD here...

I'm WAY behind and sorry for that... getting really excited about my chicks that will be coming from CPL hopefully in the next month, woo-hoo!!

Maybe I just need to PM you all that this applies to, but I would DEFINITELY want to trade any eggs owed for chicks, and am more than happy to pay extra shipping costs... I have been having abyssmal hatching rates from shipped eggs, actually making me a little nauseated, considering all the plants I've sent (which should grow unless totally left unattended) and all the PP that has been sent...

Also... really hoping to hear all your thoughts on my next couple of questions, hope this doesn't get buried, either...

For all of you that are breeding, with the intent to improve the breed/work on SOP, are you line-breeding or flock-breeding and why did you chose the option you did??

In my last 2 hatches of my own eggs (really good hatching rates from my own eggs as opposed to shipped eggs, BTW) I have had one chick in each hatch that started zipping, kept zipping but at some point didn't keep cracking the shell and eventually got far enough underneath that they suffocated... Why would that happen?

Thanks for all the opinions in advance, I respect all of ya'lls experience!!!

Quote: yes, they are. I am looking into a couple more hens for my roo. So plenty of spangled babies soon hopefully

evening all

Madam, loved the pictures!

Wish we could use dog kennel panels, the pretty black coated ones rust away, chain link is ok, but the frames corrod and fall apart. I am back and forth on walls of 4-6 breeding pens connect as one unit, and making twin runs we can lift and move as needed. Last week I was thinking moving them was a bonus. Today I am back to thinking 4-6 pens all in one unit and set in place would be nice.

We are replacing every metal fence post that was here when we moved in with wood. We have to re-fence part of the rear thanks to county flooding the pasture and the salt water rusted away the field fencing from the ground to knee high. Told hubby to just replace with boards and call it done.

So apparently I made a guy angry because I didn't want to pay 7.50 a piece for quail. . .
Is that wrong?
How old were they? Only reason for someone to be angry is if you tried to dicker after they were holding them. I always think there is no harm in asking, even if I do say no :D.

I do get pissy if I hold something and then people balk, however. Then I remind myself thats why you don't hold stuff...
