I just got done setting up a plan for my excess roosters. The local raptor center says they would love to have them. I'll take the first set of 2-3 month olds out to them on Monday. Woot! I don't have to process ALL of them!

LMFAO
I think it's funny in an odd way. I've spent the last 2-3 months making sure the hawks and eagles DON'T eat them, and now I'm sending them to the raptors to be eaten.
I wasn't sure how much to take off. I will trim them shorter still and see how it goes. I had thought of taking my husbands beard trimmer to them and take it down to nothingThey are still big babies. Sir C. has to be held every day for some "his" time or he throws a fit. The girls are not much better! He doesn't like my husband though. He flogs him every time he gathers eggs.... I can't wait for some little chocolates though. I feel sad each time I candle and no development.....![]()
You really shouldn't ship chicks on a Thursday. Far too many things can happen and they could wind up sitting at a sort facility or post office until Monday.WV - I plan on sending chicks out Thursday and the Post Office said you would have them on Sat by 10am. Is that ok with you??
