Squee! My SOP came today!! I kept thinking it was overpriced. I didn't realize it is text book sized and quality (better than some!) so excited...I have a chicken encyclopedia to read No really, I like reading encyclopedias. Nick name growing up was "Encyclopedia Brown," because I was always reading them.

I just set my last round of eggs until after June 8th. I am getting over 18 eggs a day. I just pulled the new chicks out of the hatcher, cleaned the hatcher out and got ready to set more eggs tonight. Before I set eggs, I candle what's in there. I kept hearing peeps... I had 4 already pipped eggs! I didn't think I had any to put in lock down yet! I need to start keeping better records.

they are pretty typical Silver duckwing coloration (or silver-grey in dorkings...LOL)





I am also trying to identify what these two bantams are:

the first are bb reds, those are from my eggs. she had a bunch hatch at that time
they look to both be pullets, but if they start getting any red in their feathers they will be roos

I really hate the PO. I dropped off 4 other packages with this box yesterday. All 4 of the other packages show they left yesterday and of course the box of eggs didn't leave until today.

I am on a roll! I have 1 or 2 more coming too! Anybody else want to do a side swap LOL... I have eggs running out my ears. Took 4.5 doz to the neighbor so he could help eat some. I am getting about 4 doz a day right now. Why eat perfectly good hatching eggs?????
