Wait till you start  hatching out some of my showgirls. And yes, turkens are both heat and cold hardy chickens, some of the best I have been told!

Geese are actually quite intelligent, but they sure can be naughty too. Our spoiled brat gosling needs a good spanking. Of course it doesn't help that my hubby came home and let him run all over the house. I will repeat I do NOT want a house goose. A house turkey yes, but no on the goose.

Well, my egg pecker has converted to an egg eater. I think I know who it is, so she will go into a penalty box and I'll see if it stops. If so, I don't know that I have much choice but to eat her. My dad will be happy, but I hate to cull a layer. Although I have been loosing at least an egg a day to pecking. Grrrr.

Oh great, my favorite hen is the one with egg on her face. Not the one that I suspected. Although, pear is an EE with a big beard and the other, Ruby, is a RIR that is clean faced (no fluff to catch the evidence). Pearl is busted yellow beaked. I don't think I can process her...

Try throwing a couple of wood eggs in the box with her. She'll peck and won't get the reward. So why peck?
