Look what I came home with from the auction last night (this morning)

Quote: It is a buyers market right now...I guess everyone has gotten all the birds they want for the year, lol. I took RP poults last night, and got $3 a piece for them

So no more incubating turkeys this year...gonna let the hens set some eggs after a couple swaps I owe and will take what's left in the incubators and grow out for a couple months to pick some hens, the rest will be processed. Oh I also took some Mille Fleur D'Uccles chicks...they went for $1.50 each.

Chicks here are going for like $0.35 each. Crazy stuff.

Right?! My excess marans roos went for "top dollar" at $3 each. My super blue roo went for $3 too. It's odd how that stuff goes. Chicks go for $0.35 and older chick males go for almost 10x the price. Cornish x meaties are always dirt cheap. Ducks and the like rarely go over $5. Last time, guineas were the big thing... $15 for adults (usually $5) and $10-$12 for a dozen eggs (usually $6).

yeah, guineas sold for 10 each and up...and that's what I went for, a friend of mine is looking for juvenile and older....of course when I go to buy some they are expensive...last week they were going for 3 and 4 bucks each!
