How long do I give eggs under a broody to hatch? I put my eggs from Madam under my broody SBB's and hatch date was Tuesday. I know that incubator eggs can hatch late. Can you have the same thing with broodies? I have had two Buttercups hatch so far.

Everybody should have a gander named George! When I was a child we had a George and a Sadie. Now I have a George, a Sadie, a Penelope, and of course a Lucy because you must have a Lucy goosie! Stella is adorable!

Can you pull a couple at a time and candle? That's what I do anyway. Of course I mess with my broodies all the time so they're used to me poking around under them.

If she gets up a lot the eggs can be late. And I find the smaller eggs hatch a lot faster then my big marans eggs. I usually count 3 -4 days from first hatch before I worry.

I'll give it some more time then. I had two and three setting on them at the same time. I doubt they were left completely alone much. The only problem might have been some left out due to trying to decide who would set on which.
