Awesome, thanks. I keep eyeballing those SFH chicks since I am having such bad luck trying to hatch them. I have more eggs of Beth's going in today so hopefully this batch does better. One chick (although I think it's a brown cockerel with a crest so yay!) out of 16 eggs is a little GRRRRRRR! At least when I get one it's a cockerel so I will have unrelated roos, same with my CCL from CPL.

My DH would be clueless as well and I wouldn't even ask him to. Besides, would you not advise someone how to pack if they have never done it before?

My husband was a physics nut and loved the egg drop. Bet he'd pack better than me, it's be like Fort Knox in there!

Does anyone know who is shipping Rachael's (crazypetlady) eggs out. I got a box from her yesterday that said Wolf Farms. But wasn't post marked from a differant address than hers. The packing was horrible, there was little to none in the box. A bunch of eggs but not packed very well at all. The box was leaking and my po lady picked it up and got egg goo all over her. It leaked all over my truck and it was a nasty mess inside the box. Whoever is shipping for her needs to take better care in packing the box's.

Not that I can afford to bid today, but what's our courtesy rule here for RBA, I know we don't bid over each other, but what if one of us was bidding in the bid history? Are we kosher to bid against the high bidder that's not one of us?

For instance:

Bid 1: Me
Bid 2: Joe Blow
Bid 3: Me
Bid 4: Billy Bob
Bid 5: Jane Doe

Another one of us wants to be Bid 6. Is that cool or no? It's hard to tell if a bidder that was one of us has dropped out sometimes, but I'd rather see one of us get it than Joe Blow. Opinions if there is no rule, written or not yet.

if its the brahma's (I havent checked them this afternoon) and I was outbid i will be bidding again (to a certain point lol) but trying to not run the bids up long before the end

For sure! Then again, If I was sick as a dog..like sick sick..I could see my self trying to walk my husband through the steps and him ignoring me and doing it his way! lol Could it be her birds weren't laying so she bought them from someone else to fullfill her end? so they are from a totally different seller? Ive known alot of folks to do that...I've gotten eggs that way before...

I don't think it is that. The boxes are coming from her area.

my hubby packs, he is darn good at it too. Most of the time it is me though, but he cuts the bubble wrap and helps pack padding into the boxes.

I just don't think my DH would pack them period! LOL He helps but he would draw the line...
