Thank you for being able to put that pay pal to use, it makes it possible for newbies like me to get breeds that we otherwise could not afford.I know for me, I have only been claiming PP since I am getting ready to shut down my bator and I use the PP to ship the eggs and then whatever PP I have left is mine. It usually cost me between $6-$8 to ship and the rest of the $15 I keep. It helps to buy food for the chickens. But I would never claim 10 in a week I try not to claim more than my girls are producing. I usually get my egg orders out in less than 2 weeks. Well except for the spring eggs. But I am expecting some of the spring egg orders/girls to start laying anytime now.
I agree with wingstone on the paypal. I am thrilled to be able to get these eggs for $15 or $20. On the other side of the spring shipping, I have just been claiming spring eggs because that gives me the chance to get the eggs hatched in prime season and not have to care for chicks through the winter and worry about brooder temps since I brood outside. It also gives me the winter to get all my breeding pens ready.Thank you for being able to put that pay pal to use, it makes it possible for newbies like me to get breeds that we otherwise could not afford.
i only mention the spring shipments because it appears some are making quite a list of eggs to ship in the spring...if it were me i would be locking those birds up in fort knox just to be safe till spring.
. I agree with you. Not sure why CPL upped the number of swaps to 10 per week. I think they shoud stay at 7 or go down to 5 like KYTinpusher suggested. Those Spring egg orders are going to be overwhelming to fill for some. By the way, should Spring egg offerers start to put the approximate time frame when they expect the eggs to ship in the offers? This will help others decide whether they really want those Spring eggs.Ok, taking the chat over here.![]()
Is anyone else against the upgrade from the 7 swaps to the 10. Or am I the only one. I think it is gonna make people start falling behind or even offer way too many spring eggs than they can handle or even deliver. Even if they claim they can send PP instead if anything happens, if they owe 60 differant people spring eggs that is 60 PP's. I am just worried about the new rule of the upgraded swaps. I have seen too many on here offering the same spring eggs that have been claimed several times.
Personally I thought we were doing good with 7 swaps a week and I think that is where is should stay.![]()
