Those things are awesome. My mom is going to Germany in April, think I could get her to smuggle some eggs in for me or will they throw a 74 year old woman in jail for that.I say we all go in together and buy crazypetlady those bielefelders so she can offer eggs to us all on the swap!!

You are all caught up, nothing to do but chat, get eggs together, incubator started and wait for set on the 11th. What wonderful week that is going to be for me I will be hatching the weekend before, and my daughter will have another ultrasound, so Nana will know what kind of bumpkin she is having, (if only her hubby will stop with the weird names) and we set for the NYD hatch-a-long. Life is almost good.I do have a question about the NYD hatch. I have my name on the list, is there anything else I need to do? This is my first one and I am a little confused as to how it works.
Somehow, I think it is only on here that saying you have a houseful of chickens doesn't seem so "unusual" I don't announce that to the world, tho.![]()
My favorite non-furry pet is George the bearded dragon -- totally cool, smart, emotional, reactive guy. Knows when it is time for "Daddy" to get home and if I mention on the phone, to daddy, to pick up "crickets" he (George) goes nuts as soon as he hears the car pull up.
True story. A friend was over and she has always like to hold him, etc. I had made his salad and asked if friend Brenda wanted to feed him. Yeah, you could just put the dish down in pen but he really likes to have you hold it up for him while he lounges on his slant log. After he had a few bites, and Brenda was still holding the dish for him, she asked if he was done or not. Ask him, I suggested to her. She, in just a normal voice to pet, asked "George, are you done yet?" He looks up at her and grabs her hand holding the flat dish and gently holds her hand close for a few more mouthfuls. Shocked the crap out of her as she thought they were more like snakes and other lizard-y things.
So far all I have are large fowl -- although the silver spangled hamburg and the lakenvelder allllmost don't count, lol! But that's simply a case of what I started with -- I'm looking forward to branching out!
