Wow, the swap thread has been quiet -- I'm having to resort to cruising ebay for my morning does of temptation!!! lol!

Still can't afford to buy; I just like to window-shop

I am always window shopping. It's a good thing I am able to resist temptation or I would be completely overrun. I see stuff I want allllll the time!

I wish I could do that but I get depressed when I do that, and make this face

a lot. I can resist temptation, but when it comes to chickens it's not tempation - it feels more like life and death.

LOL!!! Therein lies the fine line between temptation and obsession!

I tell ya though, if I can get the new 'bator the way I want it, I am going to be on a major hatching spree!

weeeeeeeeee I love hatching sprees! I'm not exactly sure what defines a hatching spree, but I've never incubated more than 40 eggs at a time. I won't be able to for a very long time (not where we live now, anyway)...but I can see how that would be much fun!!

I have a chick loose and I can't catch her...I put down some food and water and I'm just sort of letting her run around that room. Bigger chickens are hard to catch (so I've heard) but our month olds are easy, they come to me and I pick them up. These babies though....geez, they're impossible. I told her "okay fine then, do what you want". I still don't know how she got out, there is mesh over the brooder. I think she either pulled a Santa Claus or she stole Alice's tonic & cake.

Go to Kathyinmo, she has the most gorgeous delaware I've ever seen (it almost made me consider yet another breed). She developed her own line by recreating the original crosses that developed them.

Hey, does anyone here have heritage/really good quality Delawares? I know they're not fancy or anything, but I like 'em :p

I used to raise them and then my friend decided she wanted to get some. She got some REALLY nice heritage chicks and I loaned her my rooster. He is from Whitmore Farms. She is new to selling/shipping eggs but if you are interested send me a PM and I'll be happy to help her get you some eggs. :)
