I have a question or two. I am planning on picking up 3 dozen hatching eggs today. I was thinking of putting some up for swap, then incubating the rest (buff brahmas, partridge rock, black jersey giant). I am going to check out the stock right now.
My questions are, if anyone actually wants those breeds, and since I am still on probation... If I where to print off the shipping label for delivery confirmation, would that allow me to take another swap?

Debs_flock shipped me Campine eggs last Monday. I didn't get them 'till Friday. USPS put a note on the box that they were damaged AND REPACKED! I've never heard of them repacking a box before. You all know they deliver everything damaged, if not utterly destroyed. After careful inspection I could not determine why the box was repacked. Well I candled those eggs tonight and every one of them is growing. All of them. 100%. I couldn't be happier! So what are you putting in their water? I want some of that for my chickens! Thank you Deb!

Go to Kathyinmo, she has the most gorgeous delaware I've ever seen (it almost made me consider yet another breed). She developed her own line by recreating the original crosses that developed them.

I used to raise them and then my friend decided she wanted to get some. She got some REALLY nice heritage chicks and I loaned her my rooster. He is from Whitmore Farms. She is new to selling/shipping eggs but if you are interested send me a PM and I'll be happy to help her get you some eggs.

I think the eggs actually have to be in the mail in order to count as a successful swap.

I've had great luck with their eggs. I have 2 hens growing out now.

Sahwithchicks, where are you picking them up from? I keep wanting some buff brahmas. My one lone hatchery buffy, the dumb old barn cats ate. I'm so glad they're gone!!! (And funny, haven't lost a chick since...)

It's a local chicken farm in cross city. I will take a couple of pictures while I am there. The guy says they hatch 200 chicks a week. I might ask him for a job

I would love some jersey giants but I'm over run with chicks right now.

Well I got 1 breed I didn't have . Hopefully it will be a trio.
