I think one thing to do is always make sure they scan the package in when you give it to them. They usually give you a receipt showing they accepted it.I printed my own label from my account at USPS. This is very complicated.

when I printed my label it printed the receipt along with the label...I just take the packages down and drop them off at the window. I have never had any trouble shipping eggs though. I have traded and sold numerous times and they always arrive in a timely manner.
When they scan it at the PO they give you receipt that states they accepted the package at such and such time. It also puts it in the system at the PO.when I printed my label it printed the receipt along with the label...I just take the packages down and drop them off at the window. Quote: I never get a receipt when I drop it off. My PO is very good about getting it scanned, though. I know many of them aren't. A receipt is a very good idea.

Our PO never gives me a receipt for my packages that I send and I am in there every day. Our postmaster (the only one working there) always scans them right away unless there is another customer. Ours is a very small town. When they scan it at the PO they give you receipt that states they accepted the package at such and such time. It also puts it in the system at the PO.
I moved my silkie babies tonight to the basement brooder. Thought I would get a few pictures of them running around. All of the paints are from my birds along with the blacks. The blues and partridges are from sebrightmom. There are also some jersey giants in there. One paint looks to have a black stripe down the back of its neck. Another has a nice partial black wing. You can see it in one of the pics.
